Princesses, Heroes & Villains: Camp/Show

Class Description

Full Day Camp 9:00-4:00 / Ages 5-12 / Cost $300.00 Half Day Camp 9:00-12:00 / Ages 4-10 / Cost $250.00 Extended Care: 8:00-9:00 & 4:00-5:00 / Cost $20.00 per day (see below) Registration: Minimum 15 kids; maximum 30 Tickets ($12) must be purchased by parents/friends to attend final show. Half day campers will perform at intermission. Must be a full day camper to be in the show. To audition for main speaking parts, please email sherry@nbperformingarts.com to schedule an audition time slot. During this week students will learn to become your favorite Princess, Hero or Villain - during this exciting camp we explore lands of fantasy, sci-fi, and adventure in order to help become your favorite fictional character. Students will bring in their desired character and with the help of an instructor come up with a performance piece as that character. The camp will also fill your day with fun activities and games while you craft your own unique story. We will create costumes, sets, and props for the show. Students will explore their creative talents, collaborate with their peers, and develop an educational understanding and passion for the performing arts. We will learn theatre skills through games and activities as well as designing costumes, sets, and props for the show. Students will be grouped according to their level of experience and age. Parts in the show will be assigned through auditions as well as activities during camp. NBPA retains the right to choose which students perform either in the play, or during intermission based on their behavior at camp. Location of Camp and Show: NBPA Studio, 131 Gattuso Road.
